Converse was recently involved in a historical collaboration that also included team Jordan Brand and Nike in efforts to produce a three-way hybrid. Now Converse has its sight set on catching your eye by focusing a bit more on the materials it uses. Pictured here is the Converse Star Player in a mid-top cut that is being nicknamed the “Sweatshirt” pair because of the fleece material used along the upper. Moreover, the shoe quite evidently gets its “Sock” touch from the material used along the collar that resembles the old-school NBA high-top socks of back in the day. These are actually available now from a select number of Converse retailers with more stores soon to get them in as well.

A couple of days ago we brought you a closer look at the silver Air Jordan I “Foamposite Armor” that is set to drop in November. Some people liked the idea of an Air Jordan silhouette getting the foamposite treatment, while others still aren’t convinced. Nonetheless, it seems as though team Jordan Brand is going to try and keep doing some convincing. Pictured here is a varsity red/black Air Jordan I “Foamposite Armor” that is being nicknamed the Cranberry colorway. This colorway will be dropping from participating Jordan Brand retailers this coming December- does it look better to you than the silver pair?

When you’re one of only two baseball players on Team Jordan, as Andruw Jones is, you get a lot more attention than hoopsters like DJ Augustin (justifiably). Case in point, Andruw Jones’ new Air Jordan 3 Turf shoes, a custom-color AJ3 upper sitting atop a turf-specific baseball sole. The colorway seems a bit odd considering that Jones plays for the White Sox, but he played for the Rangers last year and the vibrant blue is a great look against the white and red and matches up with Texas’s team colors. Also, the toe and heel feature elephant print as any respectable AJ3 should. Check out several more looks beneath the jump.

Just because the NBA season is not officially over, doesn’t mean that the basketball sneakers stop being made. In fact, despite Chris Paul’s being sidelined very early in the NBA season, the Air Jordan CP3.III Tribute popped up as yet another team Jordan Brand basketball sneaker. And now the limited white/gold Air Jordan CP3.III pictured here has arrived at House of Hoops locations nationwide. With a primarily white base, there are several touches of metallic gold throughout the upper and even a speckled midsole that has been popping up more and more regularly.

Lately, we have seen a lot of Jordan Brand news regarding Derek Jeter and/or sneakers/cleats inspired by the New York Yankees shortstop. If you recall, Jordan Brand recently prepared a Defining Moments version of the Jordan Jeter Throwback cleat for Derek Jeter to wear in special games. Now, the medium grey/dark grey/black-white Jordan Jeter Throwback sneaker is available for purchase from several Nike retailers at the retail price of approximately $100. One of the new colorways to have done so well on a more classic Air Jordan silhouette this year has to be the black/white Air Jordan VI nicknamed the “Oreo” AJ VI. That said, it appears as though Jordan Brand is testing out the Oreo theme with a team Air Jordan silhouette. Pictured here is the Air Jordan Flight 9 in a black/white “Oreo” colorway that uses black as the base color and speckled white throughout the midsole. You’ll see these on the shelves of Air Jordan retailers come August.

Some of you might remember back in May when we showed you a rare Air Jordan 2010 No Window Sample when it popped up on eBay of course in a size 9. Many of you thought that the shoe would actually be very nice if it didn’t feature the highly criticized window and we happened to agree. For all of you that fall into that camp, we are happy to announce that your prayers have been answered and they have just announced the new Air Jordan 2010 Team which will not feature any window.

We have spotted another rare version of the shoe and this one will feature perforated texture panels in place of the window. It will also include patent leather lining around the toe area of the sneaker as well as on the heel panel and lace panel. What do you guys think, is this version up to par?

So far we have seen a few different versions of the Air Jordan Flight SC 1 in previews for later on this year and it looks like this shoe will end up being the heir to the Flight 45’s throne. Many of the ones that we have previewed so far have incorporated some sort of classic Air Jordan colorway, usually being one of the more famous and nicknamed colorways, although these ones will take on a much more basic colorway.

These ones will be pretty much all black on the upper and from the looks of it in both smooth leather and suede. This will be broking up only by small hits of metallic silver on the upper in the form of the Jumpman logo. These ones are expected to release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2010 but stay tuned for more information on an exact release date.

After showing you an Air Jordan I Phat low designed with Derek Jeter and the accomplishments of his New York Yankees in mind, team Jordan Brand is honoring the Yankees captain in a new way. Pictured here is a Derek Jeter Player Exclusive of the Air Jordan Jeter Throwback cleat nicknamed the “Defining Moments” because the design of the cleat speaks directly to nine special moments in the shortstop’s career (the impetus for the number of moments being the fact that the Jeter Throwback is the baseball player’s ninth signature shoe). Jeter will be wearing these, or a variation of these, in several particular games including, naturally, the All-Star game.

Last year, team Jordan Brand released a number of Air Jordan Is that all had colorways based on Eastern Conference teams Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls played in some classic games against while his Airness was still running the NBA. Since then, Jordan Brand used the same kind of inspiration for another release- the Air Jordan I 2K high pictured here. The colorway is an amalgamation of the aforementioned Eastern Conference teams that inspired last year’s Air Jordan I releases; including the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons. This year has been huge for Jordan Brand, and we’re not even half-way through.
