Gracing this season’s Pitti Uomo is the latest collection from Japanese footwear label H? Katsukawa from Tokyo. Prior to conceiving H? Katsukawa from Tokyo, brand founder Eiichi Katsukawa had taken upon himself to learn shoe design and production from a course taken at the a course in Southampton with a further intern opportunity with Paul Harnden. His upcoming footwear collection features some traditional silhouettes with interesting use of materials and leathers as well as prints.

“I express the avant-garde style as new viewpoints and the day-to-dayness as enjoyments by creating a form of shoes. And the essence of that form is intangible love.” – Eiichi Katsukawa

After the additions of Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva, the Detroit Pistons had very high aspirations for this NBA season. However, due to a string of difficulties including a serious back injury to Tayshaun Prince, the season didn’t go exactly as they had hoped. However, Nike was definitely sure to help Tayshaun in whatever way it could, which in this case came in the form of a very nice and clean Player Exclusive of the Nike Shox Vision. Let us know what you think about this particular colorway, the personal touches (including his number 22 on the heel), and the shoe design in general- as we haven’t heard or seen TOO much of these, especially not in Player Exclusive form.

Vans Vault Zapato Del Barco LX
The Vans Vault is getting ready to roll out two new colorways of their Zapato Del Barco LX, a shoe that has proven to be very popular among Vans fans that are more into the casual look for their sneakers as opposed to those who prefer the skate look and design. These shoes take on a bit of a boat shoe design that lends itself well for a little bit of rest and relaxation.

There will be two new colorways being released and both will sit on top of the same white vulcanized rubber soles than Vans has become so famous for. One of the pairs will come with a predominantly teal upper while the other one will be predominantly navy blue on the upper. Both of them will be accented nicely by white contrast stitching around the toe area and will also have contrasting insoles and heel panels as well.

It was about a month ago that we were treated to a look at the Nike Hyperfuse in a del sol/black colorway sure to grab the attention of passers by not just because of the bright colors, but also because of the somewhat futuristic shoe design. In fact, this shoe comes with an extremely lightweight mesh upper and air vents that help make it even more breathable and easy on the foot. And for added flavor, a colorful splash design can be seen toward the ankle area. This particular colorway is set to hit Nike retailers in July, so you have plenty of time to make up your mind.

PumaPennyRey2010SpringSummerColl1
Part of what Puma has in store for this spring/summer seasons is a collection of slip-on Penny Rey shoes pictured here. This laceless shoe design borrows heavily from the brand’s El Rey model, which we saw included in a bunch of Puma releases this past January. The Penny Rey, which also has a loafer vibe, is being made available in brown leather and black leather uppers from participating Puma retailers this month.
