Following up on our preview of the lows, we now take a look into the Torsion Special Hi from adidas Originals, a classic from 1990 making its return 20 years later its first appearance. Although originally introduced with a Gore-Tex upper, the 2010 version unfortunately won’t be as weather-proof, although the color makeup surely makes up some ground, as it sports black and grey hues, with a hint of vibrant red and blue. A release is expected for October 2010 through select adidas Originals retailers.

Joyous day for all the skaters out there, as the Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 release date is finally upon us, hitting stores tomorrow, August 21st. This will be one of the most widely released Nike SB shoes of all time, as it will not be limited solely to skate shops like most SB’s and will arrive at mall accounts as well. Tomorrow should at least see the release of a couple of lows and a high (pictured), although the white high may pop up also.

Over the last month or so we have been seeing a ridiculous amount of Nike All Court Lows releasing compared the amount that normally releases in any given month. It is that fact that made it seem like such a long time since the last time we had seen one, when in reality it had only been one week. No need to fear though All Court lovers, because there is a new pair that has just been announced and it is looking really nice, although simple which may be just what the doctor called for.

This is the new version of the Nike All Court Low VNTG in a white and black colorway. All though the shoe is being called a vintage, it looks like they have decided to remove the yellowing from the sole, which we think is a good move as it makes it shine a bit brighter.

Who would have thought, one of the kingpins of casual in the sneaker world, the Nike Blazer Low can actually look so opulent, with a little nostalgic oriental touch, and a little imperial imagination thrown in. Apparently, with the right color combination involving some opulent gold touches in the quilted stitches and Swoosh and heel tab, paired with a stately navy, the Blazer Low can be transformed into something that demands both respect and attention. The new Blazer Low comes in two colorways, a navy with gold as previously mentioned, and another in a rather luxurious greenish, turquoise shade paired with metallic black. The interesting design detail is the “Nike” logo on the heel tab which has been rendered in that famed Chinese takeout font…commonly associated with Chinatown. Definitely an interesting departure from the Blazer Lows and Nike design aesthetics we are used to. Perhaps a simpler concoction and continuation of the World Expo fever? Having caused a cosmic sized disturbance in the Force with their Star Wars colabs from earlier this year, adi has taken the wraps off these dazzling new Droid Top Ten Lows, which you may have glimpsed on the feet of Jay Burachel in the new Originals ‘Star Wars Cantina 2010’ video. Split down the middle, each shoe features a pearly R2-D2 colourway on the outer and a gold C-3PO inner half. There’s plenty of details to please the pickiest fanboys, such as the exposed wiring between C-3PO’s side stripes and a red eyelet representing R2-D’s glowing monocle. Heineken’s first big splash on the sneaker world came all the way back in 2003 when they teamed up with Nike to create a pair of SB Dunk Lows. We know that these Heineken x Reebok Pump Omni Lites won’t ever manage to be quite as popular as their Nike SB counterpart, they are still worth a look regardless.

Smooth leather in a Heineken green color is applied throughout most of the upper but the toe, heel and parts of the side panel are constructed from white perforated leather with different sized and shaped holes. The Heineken star can also be found embroidered along the side of the upper in the original shade of red.

In April the PF Flyers brand released a collection of Sumfun Lows for the casual spring time stroll. For the summer, PF Flyers is trying to also help us prepare for those more physical activities. The Bob Cousy Lo All-American that originally released in 1956 has been reworked and releases this summer in six colorways: “natural,” black, red, navy, light grey, and ivory. Just earlier we previewed a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Lows that made use of a new pattern that we thought was really nice and we hoped that they would start using more of in the future. It looks like our hopes have been granted and since this one is almost a complete opposite of what we had with the Low version of the shoe it looks like we will be spoiled for selection.

While the other pair was a low and predominantly black in color, this one will come in a high and be predominantly white. The midfoot, forefoot and swoosh of the shoe are all made from solid white leather but the heel area and the quarter panel fo the shoe will feature the striped pattern that we enjoyed so much. The shoe will sit on top of a white midsole as well as a gum outsole.
