Eve Gets Rid of Her “Fetish”

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Eve Jihan Jeffers, better known as rapper Eve, probably has a love-hate relationship with her own clothing line “Fetish”.

TheyBF.com reported that Eve has just shut down her clothing line, again. This time, Eve said it’s for good. A couple of years back, Eve put the line on hiatus when she had conflicts with the apparel licensee Inovo Group. Not long after, she partnered with another manufacturer and distributor based in New York, Signature Apparel, and both parties relaunched Fetish last year with a more upscale collection.

Along with shutting down her clothing line, Eve also confirmed that she has left her label, Geffen Records, so if you’ve been waiting for her next album “Flirt”, get comfortable because it’s not going to be released anytime soon.

For the ladies, get your Fetish gear before they really disappear from the stores. You might just end up with a classic Fetish by Eve piece.

robertgeller Fashion Week Launch: Robert Geller x Levi’s Collection
Last night, Complex trekked over to Bloomingdale’s to get a sneak peak of the Robert Geller for Levi’s collection. If you’re wondering who Robert Geller is and why he deserves to design a line for Levi’s, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to this site. Catch up!

The German-born, American educated designer got his start working at Marc Jacobs before going on to launch a number of brands, including the award-winning Cloak and the eponymous Robert Geller Menswear, which launched in 2007. Although he’s been toiling away in the industry for the better part of the last decade, gaining accolades left and right, it wasn’t until this year that the Council of Fashion Designers of America gave him the award for Best New Menswear Designer. The award came with a $50,000 prize that would be used to help established his label as well as the Levi’s mini-collection that puts a unique twist on American workwear classics. Familiar yet? If not, read on to see (and buy!) some key pieces of the from the collection we saw last night…
